COMMON What every site gets

The same four parts at every site.

Parts of a Cover4 site
Control centerSigns each order and sets its deadline. Runs on a laptop, with a backup that takes over. Built
Fixed nodesOff-the-shelf boards (Heltec, RAK) in enclosures, mounted high, running Cover4 firmware. Venue network first, a LoRa radio network of the same nodes when it fails. Bench
Staff tagOff-the-shelf tag (RAK WisMesh), worn by each staff member. Alerts and confirms with one button, with or without a phone. Bench
PhoneOptional. The Cover4 crew app, or your own app with the Cover4 SDK. Built
How a site is planned
Planning callMap the orders that matter: holds, evacuations, roll calls and help requests.
Site planSimulated coverage plan, zone by zone, at the worst end of every range. Simulated
Walk testA range test on your site before any event sets the real node count, with a clear go or no-go.
ReportDelivery times, coverage, confirmations and the raw logs, so you can judge it on the numbers.

STACK Who supplies what

Cover4 supplies the software. The hardware is off the shelf.

Supply, by part
Software and firmwareCover4: control center, signing, record, node and tag firmware, SDK, crew app.
Nodes and tagsHeltec and RAK WisMesh boards and tags, bought from the vendors and loaded with Cover4 firmware. Cover4 does not make hardware.
Network and uplinkThe site's wired network. Peplink or Starlink where the site has none.
Radios, console, PAThe site's own. Cover4 sits beside them.
DronesA partner-operated drone for a targeted welfare check: it gives the operator eyes on the people who have not answered and re-links their staff radios and nodes, arriving 5 to 12 minutes after an incident is named and leaving about half of them unknown at the worst end (SIMULATED). Not coverage. In development; no partner yet; not available. Planned
How a site pays
Platform licenceOne per site, per year. Control center, keys and support.
Staff seatsOne per staff member. The tag is included in the seat.
HardwareA pass-through line at the cost of the devices, or devices the site already owns.
PilotFree. The first five reference sites pay no deposit.
